Preparation?
No preparation is required for this procedure. It is helpful to wear slip on shoes and loose, comfortable clothing without zips, buttons, belts and buckles.
You should not have had any other tests with injections of contrast, eg CT, MRI within 7 days prior to having a Dexa scan.
Who does the Bone densitometry report?
Our Radiologist is a Medical specialist who reviews and interprets the images and provides a written report. This is electronically sent to your referring doctor or allied health worker.
Examination Time?
The scan takes approx 15 minutes.

What do I need to bring?

Who Is Eligible for a bulk billed scan?
All patients who meet the Medicare criteria are bulk billed at ClearView Radiology. A referral is required from your doctor or specialist.
